Our Consultants
Funnily enough, Deborah and Kristi met in a library and became friends, and later business partners, by sharing their love of books with each other and by going to author lectures and book signings in Barcelona. They are true fans of writers and of books and will treat your work with respect, care, and the attention it deserves.

Deborah
Deborah’s mother instilled a love of reading in her at an early age and her fondness for being read to each day quickly developed into a passion for reading herself. She has always read a large variety of authors and genres as well as becoming obsessed with many series throughout different stages of her life. She finds it impossible to have a favourite writer as each new book presents a new possibility. Born in Bolton, Deborah moved to Barcelona 11 years ago, after 10 years of teaching in the UK, and works as an English Literature teacher for pupils aged 12-18 as well as running reading and creative writing clubs. Her passion for reading is infectious and she shares this with her pupils who are keen to take recommendations and widen their literary net. After over 20 years of correcting creative writing, exam essays, application letters, research proposals, articles for scientific magazines and a whole world of other types of writing, Deborah has an uncanny ability to pick out an errant comma, difficult phrasing, and a range of other areas for improvement. She is also able to offer sensitive yet effective suggestions for corrections and changes to ensure that the writer’s message is clearly transmitted to the reader.
